Camp Kroc Scholarships
Families in San Francisco’s Tenderloin are doing everything they can to give their children a better future. Still, many parents want to send their child to Camp Kroc but cannot afford the cost. Camp Kroc is one of the only summer programs in the Tenderloin that provides a rigorous academic and enrichment experience for elementary age students. At the Kroc Center, we believe in supporting students early with a strong foundation for long term success.
A $200 gift to the Camp Kroc Scholarship Fund helps remove financial barriers for a child and provides:
• Access to a full summer of learning and enrichment
• Nutritious meals throughout the program
• Safe supervision and mentorship
• Life changing experiences beyond their neighborhood
Camp Kroc serves K through 5th grade students in the Tenderloin community. Your support helps students:
• Prevent summer learning loss with academic enrichment in reading, writing, and math
• Explore new interests through arts and crafts, science experiments, sports, games, and dance
• Go on two field trips every week, one in San Francisco and one outside the city
• Receive daily nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and snacks
• Learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment
While Camp Kroc serves elementary students, 6th through 12th graders are supported through our FREE Tenderloin Teen Drop In Center throughout the summer. The Teen Center provides:
• Enrichment programs
• Fitness and wellness activities
• Field trips and community experiences
• Mentorship and positive role models
• A safe and welcoming place to belong
Your generosity gives a child more than a summer camp. It gives them confidence, opportunity, and hope.
“We can help bring our city together by declaring our love to all of its children and showing them the faith we have in their future.” Joan Kroc 1998
